Help the environment in the most effective way by planting trees in developing countries.

If we don’t the effects of the climate crisis maybe irreversible and catastrophic within our generation.

Our Projects follow the 'teaching a man to fish' philosophy. The trees enable the most desperate people in the world to be able to develop sustainable means of producing natural resources they need so much. The local villagers can not do it without us and need our trees to be grown in our nurseries as they can not grow them on their own.

The benefits of our tree types are amazing, producing such a massive range of products themselves.

Most people don’t know that Africa was originally mainly forest like South America before the last few decades. Over the last century, desperation of hunger, shelter and global timber export means logging has stripped the Continent of its value, natural resources and ability to rejuvenate itself. The global deforestation program by Google Earth shows how devastating the effects have been around the world with details of each country.

Trees as well as providing natural resources, do this through photosynthesis which is the worlds best way of absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. This is called carbon offsetting. The average individual in the UK is directly responsible for 9.75 tons of Carbon Emissions each year. Directly and indirectly meaning including industry etc, the average individual is responsible for 27.5 tons of Co2 emissions each year. This higher figure includes those produced during the manufacturing and distribution of products we buy, eat, wear etc and could be put down to the businesses who produce them. However many of us contribute several times the quoted average. You can calculate direct emissions from certain activities with our simple online carbon footprint calculator. (Figures provided by DEFRA 2007). The average car doing average miles produces about 4 tons of carbon emissions per year. As each tree absorbs approximately 1 ton of emissions in its lifetime, we encourage everybody to at least plant 5 trees for £20.

Every individuals' action is important, and the involvement of businesses equally so. Therefore employees should encourage their employer to ‘go-green’ and there could be business benefits. Similarly, individuals should try to buy from environmentally friendly businesses first, further encouraging them to become so.
